Your theme includes an optional setup wizard that runs automatically after activating the theme. If you don’t want to use the wizard, you can click Return to the Dashboard on the first screen.
Click Start to begin.

Optional: Install Child Theme. A child theme is recommended if you plan on making changes to the core theme files, such as style.css, functions.php, etc. You can Skip this if you plan on only making changes through the Customizer.

Install Plugins. This step automatically installs and activates the recommended plugins for this theme. You can click Advanced to view the plugins and uncheck any that you don’t want to use.

Import Content. This step imports some demo content (posts, pages, menus, and widgets) that you can use if your site is brand new and you have no content yet. This demo content just helps you get familiar with the theme and see how it looks and works. You can Skip this step or click Advanced to uncheck anything you don’t want to import.

All done! On this last screen, you can go ahead and view your website or click Extras for the following options:
- Explore WordPress – Visit the WordPress support area.
- Get Theme Support – Visit the Studio Gem support site.
- Start Customizing – Open your site’s Customizer to change settings, colors, etc.

If you closed the setup wizard and want to get back to it later, you can find it from your dashboard sidebar under Appearance > Theme Setup.
Assign menus to menu locations
The setup wizard creates a main menu with demo pages added to it. All you have to do is assign it to the menu location.
While in the last screen of the setup wizard, click Extras then Start Customizing. (OR from your dashboard, go to Appearance > Customize)
In the Customizer, go to Menus.
Select Main.
At the bottom under Menu Location, check the box beside Primary.
You can also add a menu to the footer area. See the Menus page for more info.
