To display featured posts in your sidebar, go to Appearance > Widgets and drag a Featured Posts widget into the sidebar widget area.
Add a title and select a category if you want. If you don’t select a category, it will display the most recent posts in all categories.
Then add the number of posts you want to feature and save.
