Foodie comes with an automatic plugin installer, so you can install and activate the plugins listed below in just a couple of clicks.
- Flexible Posts Widget – For the optional homepage posts setup.
- Instagram Feed – Displays your Instagram feed.
- Ninja Forms – To create and display contact forms.
- Regenerate thumbnails – Re-crops images to fit theme image sizes.
- Simple Social Icons – Displays social media icons.
Automatic Plugin Installation
After you activate your theme, you’ll see a message similar to this appear on your dashboard.
Click Begin installing plugins.
On the next page, place a checkmark by the plugins you want to install. At the top in the Bulk Actions dropdown menu, select Activate, then Apply.
On the next screen, click Return to Required Plugins installer. Place a checkmark by the plugins again and this time select Activate and then Apply.
Other Recommended Plugins
The following plugins are not included in the auto installer, but are recommended if you need the functionality they provide.
- WooCommerce – If you’d like to include a shop on your website.
- Tasty Recipes (affiliate link) – For recipe cards.
- WP Recipe Maker – For recipe cards.
