How to grant Studio Gem temporary admin access

If you and I have already discussed me logging into your website for support, please follow the instructions below to share your WordPress admin area with me. If we haven't talked yet and you need help, please browse the support articles first to see if your question/problem is covered.

I take security and privacy seriously, so I’ve made it a point to avoid sharing passwords whenever possible. I’ve chosen to use the Temporary Login Without Password plugin because it’s easy and and more secure than sharing login information. With this plugin, you can create a temporary link that lets me access your WordPress admin without the need for a username or password. Make sure you don’t share the link with anyone you do not want to access your website admin area.

  1. Install the Temporary Login Without Password plugin
    • In your WordPress admin area, go to Plugins → Add New. Search for Temporary Login Without Password and click the Install Now button.
  2. Activate the plugin
    • After installing, click the Activate button.
  3. Go to Temporary Logins.

You should be automatically directed to the Temporary Logins page after you activate the plugin. If you aren’t, you can navigate to Users → Temporary Logins.

  1. Create a temporary login.

  1. Click the Create New button. Fill out the form that appears. The only required field is Email.

If you are creating this login for Studio Gem support, please use the following info:

One week usually leaves plenty of time for me to be able to check your site. You can always delete the temporary login before the time expires.

  1. After filling out the form, click the Submit button.
  2. Copy the temporary login link.
    • After submitting the form, copy the temporary login link by clicking on the clipboard icon. Paste this link into an email or message to the person you want to have access to your site.
